Shell Canada, Million Women Mentors Canada and STEM Learning Lab Inc. are excited to announce "Bring a Girl to STEM" Day on April 7th.

This innovative event is filled with fun hands-on STEM activities that will inspire and engage girls from Grades K-12. The day also includes several short motivational speeches from the STEM Learning Lab and Shell Canada Mentors.

GIRLS IN K-4 Squishy Circuits: Campers will explore their creativity as they learn how to incorporate technology into their own 3D Art! Campers will build their own circuits out of Play-Doh using the design process to ideate, design, prototype, test and re-design their unique creations! Learn about electricity while making your 3D sculptures light up! What will you create?

 

GIRLS IN GRADES 4-12: Squishy Circuits and Microbits! By using design thinking, creativity and imagination, particpants will have fun adding their conductive Play-Doh to a Microbit - the pocket-sized computer from the BBC! Learn how to code the Micrbit to control your squishy circuit!

 

Note that registration closes at 10:00AM on Friday April 7th.

Tickets are $5.00 and are limited. This is a first-come, first-served event. We look forward to enjoying the afternoon with you!
